The Cyprus Mail, regarding the Anderson & Roe Piano Duo (2009):
Electrifying and riviting! ...When the concert goes too quickly, it's a further sign that the concert was excellent, well-paced, and most enjoyable.
The ThirdCoast Digest (Milwaukee, WI), regarding the Anderson & Roe Piano Duo (2009):
To say the anniversary concert actually mesmerized the audience understates the effect. The concert, a sensuous blend of two keyboards and souls completely in sync, provided an unforgettable emotion similar to star-crossed lovers in Shakespeare’s sonnets who end up fulfilling a blissful destiny.
... the intense synchronization of genius.
Northwest Reverb (James Bash), regarding the Anderson & Roe Piano Duo (2009):
[Anderson & Roe] gave an electrifying performance that swept the audience into a cheering mass of humanity, making a strong case that playing piano is the most fun thing that two people could ever do together.
The Star-Telegram (Fort Worth, TX), regarding the Anderson & Roe Piano Duo (2008):
Greg Anderson and Elizabeth Joy Roe captured that spirit of camaraderie while playing at the highest level of artistry.
Phrasings tapered across the instruments; harmonies blended sumptuously; articulations were perfectly matched in weight and color.
...their playing connected viscerally with the crowd.
The pair’s accounting of Strauss’ The Blue Danube waltz concluded the show with a fun, wild romp, featuring acrobatic arm entanglements and burry-fast hand-crossings. It was the piano-playing version of ice dancing.
The Legder, regarding the Anderson & Roe Piano Duo (2007):
Genuinely sensuous... [The Anderson & Roe Piano Duo] can only be described as lovemaking on a piano keyboard.
The Southampton Press, regarding the Anderson & Roe Piano Duo:
One admired throughout their energy, their precision, and their unalloyed pleasure in making music.
...Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers transposed from the dance floor to the keyboard.
...fiery and passionate ...in a class by itself.
It is often said that young musicians today have razor-sharp technique, but they lack individuality. This cannot be said of these two young performers. The technique is beyond question, but they have personalities, both musical and personal that are completely distinctive and a joy to discover.
The Southampton Press, regarding Anderson & Roe's Libertango transcription:
"riveting"
"extremely imaginative"
"They bypassed in part the fact that the piano is a percussive instrument by reaching into its belly and plucking the strings, much as a string player uses pizzicato. The unique combination of playing and plucking, involved a physical intertwining, not only of hands but also of bodies."
The Southampton Press, regarding Anderson & Roe's "A New Account of the Blue Danube Waltzes":
a "pièce de résistance"
"at once a small satire on and an act of homage to the great Viennese master of the frivolous and the joyous. ... It has an elegance and a romance that is of another time. The seduction paid off..."
"Their hand movements and the intertwining of arms, and it seemed at times of fingers, was elaborately and brilliantly choreographed. There were times when their hands seemed magically to occupy the same space, though they were playing different notes. The entire process was a small ballet of the hands, as wonderful to watch as to hear."
Nelson:
I am truly amazed...the electricity between you two when you play is so rare and so precious. Your skill is outstanding, but where you went to school teaches many that skill. It's your virtuosity together and at such a young age that is such a unique gift. The public will not let you stop...you must do this forever. Not often does a remarkable pair of music hearts speak so well together. Outstanding, guys...keep it up.
Kate:

Dear Greg and Liz, Your piano-duo is amazing!! congratulations!!I am a pianist from Greece and I hope to see your incredible concert live in Athens someday in my country. You have so many friends here!! Keep walking...
Richard Rodzinski, Cliburn Foundation President:
Elizabeth and Greg have formed what is perhaps the most thrilling young duo piano team performing today. Their musicianship and style are quintessentially of our time, ideally suited to the concert hall and a cutting-edge Internet viewing experience. They offer the kind of hip classical concerts that I imagine we'll see more and more of in the near future.

Hmmm......... I thought the kitties had it licked......meoeeeeeeeeewww. Chopin got nothin' on you................
Sue Jones:
After years of attending classical piano concerts (and playing long enough to know how difficult combining technique and interpretation really is), I thought I'd seen it all, but your performance at the Kingston Chamber Music Festival tonight was mind-blowing. You are the outlying values on the bell curve of pianism. I'm surprised you don't have camp followers a la The Grateful Dead. So glad you found each other, and that I found you both. And, the web site is awesome.
L.C. Tumay:
I love your youtube Moonlight sonata video. I have often thought, after looking a some of the posted comments, how impossible it must be for performance artists to take these "opinions" seriously. You guys are great.
B. J. Lewis:
I won't pretend to know a lot about music or playing music, but I know what I like - and I like Anderson and Roe. I first discovered them by accident when I read a news article on Duo Piano, and then did a YouTube search on the same - first coming across their Libertango piece. From that moment, I was hooked and immediately purchased their Reimagine CD. Greg Anderson and Liz Roe bring something special to their music. As with any art or any job, you can play or paint or work by the numbers and be technically good, but it's their passion and obvious love for one another, for their instruments and their music that sets them apart from other acclaimed pianists. Their first CD - Reimagine - comes with 22 brilliant tracks, with seven from different times, places and styles and a further 14 from Igor Stravinsky's Rite of Spring. Each of the different tracks showcases just how different Greg and Liz's abilities allow them from the soft classical rendition of The Swan from Carnival of Animals to their wildly furious Danse Macabre. The best track on the whole CD would have to be Libertango, however, and if you listen to it you will know why. Included with their CD is a DVD showcasing their YouTube videos, which give you a deeper understanding again of how fantastically well these two work together. They are higher quality than the YouTube versions (as one would expect!) and provide an additional dimension to the music - showing well-rehearsed scenes where the two play together. Despite the choreography, it's clear the two are great friends and very comfortable playing together. The outtakes, too, show you that they don't just play to look perfect - they make mistakes and laugh and enjoy every second, which shows they do it for the laughter and the music, and not for looking perfect. My only gripe with Reimagine is the Rite of Spring portion of the CD. While excellently performed and very enjoyable, I rarely enjoy buying a CD only to find that the majority is from one ballet. It doesn't showcase enough variety, though that's only a personal thing and in no way a negative for Greg and Liz. All in all, anyone who has a heartbeat will love this CD and should purchase it right away. It's been playing almost constantly since I bought it - in the morning when I wake, on my Zune when I travel to and from work and at night while I relax. Well worth every cent. I anticipate their next release with more enthusiasm than I've ever had.
bob:
You performed a very impressive concert in MN on April 13th. The fingers, hands, arms, bodies, faces all in sync made for great entertainment. Thank-you, thank-you for coming to Minnesota. The DVD portion of Reimagine is fantastic. Showing it to other people is the only way I can start to explain what I experienced at the live performance. When will you be back? I hope soon!
Karlyn Eckman :
We were in the audience yesterday in Mahtomedi and were blown away by your artistry, virtuousity and passion. Rite of Spring was breathtaking. It was all breathtaking! Thank you so much for your sharing this wonderful music with us.
beth:

Reinhard:
When do you come to play in Germany? We are waiting for you! Love your Piazolla piece. But also the Swan. And of course the Blue Danube. Amazing - I was gobsmacked about the video on Youtube. Did I mention the Pas de Deux? You not only play the piano (Flügel), but you send also musical energy to the people - sparks of enchantment. Thank you!
William Wilder:
Greg & Liz, I think you two are great and very entertaining. Your skill is absolutely impeccable. Your precision,on such a piece as Star Wars Cantina, breathtaking.I am a fellow "duoetist".It made me LOL to see you make the same mistake in the Pas de Deux outtakes. The sexual tension is delightful..try it out on a Hesitation Tango video. I'm a big fan.
Jenny Hibbens:
I first saw the video clip "Libertango" and was totally transfixed! I watch it over and over - the two of you have a unique raw energy and chemistry that screams out from the screen whilst playing brilliant interpretations of the great Masters. You have even inspired me to go back and practice again on my Bechstein Upright Grand after years of neglect! A fan for life from Australia.
Philip:
je suis français et j'habite l'ile de La Réunion dans l'océan indien. Vus petes impressionnants de virtuosité, d'imagination et de sensualité. I'm going to buy yours cd....go on...! thank's.
Tom Valentin :
Hi Liz: Odd though it may seem, I just got a tip about your new new CD/DVD release from Allan Ruter. Though I've followed your progress and career online from time to time, I was just so pleased to be brought back up to date. What an interesting, unexpected, and creative turn your life has taken! Greg is just a wonderful musician, and together, the two of you truly create something wonderful. You have an incredible synergy. Having heard and seen the excerpts, I can't wait to listen to more, which I'm placing on my Amazon wish list. (I can't actually order right now, since we recently moved to Colorado and just returned from a vacation to find six feet of snow covering our driveway and house.) So good to learn about how and where your path has wandered. Hope all is well.
Liana Nakahodo Mariano (Brazil) :

Marlene Gissendaner:
hi! i am a huge fan of both of you. my music teacher, yukiko ishida (she's a world renowned colorotura opera singer) introduced me to your music. all i can say is WOW... im astounded, and i cannot wait till you guys get back to the east cost. ...
Jim:
I would like to hear them play Mozart. I need to hear them play Mozart in order to truly understand how they play. Meanwhile, the overall effect of their playing is dazzling and promotes the duo-piano genre in a wonderful way. There is a risk of sacrificing artistry for flamboyance but I don't see that here. I see a very artistic approach so I think they are quite wonderful.
David:
I saw you both on the youtube playing piano ("BLUE DANUBE FANTASY"); it was so good. I like it so much and want to see your concerts! It just makes me want to improve my piano skill when I see your videos...I really really really want to become like you...well...I know it's impossible... anyway, thanks for your playing! IT'S SO GOOOD!!!!
Dr. Kaveh Beyk:

Zohrab Demergian, regarding the Anderson & Roe Piano Duo:
All I Can Say About You Both, That You Are Amazing, Truly Amazing, It's the first time i like a piano duet in my life, you both look like the perfect couple for each other, the way u both express ur feelings through the piano. well im not talking from an experience, im not a piano teacher or master, but it is what i feel inside of me, because its the same feeling when i play.
Paul An, regarding the Anderson & Roe Libertango Music Video:
Damn you guys! That piazzola tango video is HOT HOT HOT!
Pierre-Luc Lefrancois, regarding the Anderson & Roe Piano Duo:
